Unity and the Community

Mission Agape (MA) is committed to ensuring that no child or family goes hungry. Over the past decade, our faith-based food ministry has established numerous programs to address food insecurity for children, rural neighbors, seniors, and parents. In 2022, with the support of 250 monthly volunteers, our programs and services impacted over 5,000 food-insecure Texans across 7 counties. Unfortunately, our ability to respond to the growing rate of hunger and economic crisis in our community is limited to 1,500 sqft of donated office space. The Unity in the Community Campaign Project will equip MA with the capacity to expand our services and programs, convene more volunteers to support our mission, and build lasting relationships with more individuals who are experiencing food insecurity. The Unity in the Community Campaign – a $3.8 million initiative to fund the construction of a new 7,700-square-foot Distribution Center – will empower MA with the capacity to expand our services and programs, convene more volunteers to support our mission, and build lasting relationships with more individuals experiencing food insecurity.
